Assistant Line Manager

BSc

I completed my undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise psychology at the University of Chichester and this was where I was first introduced to rehabilitation. I completed a physical rehabilitation exercise program in collaboration with St Richard’s hospital in my third year where I helped patients achieve their goal of improving their cardiovascular fitness despite facing difficulties with having Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. I was able to form strong professional relationships with my patients and I found this experience extremely rewarding.

From university, I interrailed across Europe over the course of a month and then came straight to the BIS where I have worked since. I have been a cognitive rehabilitation assistant for the past 2 and a half years and have now progressed internally to the role of an Assistant Line Manager. I enjoy the balance of having the responsibility as part of the line management team as well as being able to continue working with my existing clients as a CRA.

My main interests revolve around sports, especially football which I have watched and played since I was a child. I also enjoy playing badminton and watching the darts. I also like to travel when I can and I enjoy being in unfamiliar surroundings whilst being able to explore new cultures and meet new people.

Fun fact about me: I have been to over 40 football stadiums
